GoCycling @ Marina Bay

I hired a mountain bike for myself and a city bike for my wife. Their promo is you pay for 1 hr ($10/hr) and get 1 hr free. I decided to pay for 2 hrs and get 2hrs free. Total $40 bike hire + extra $5 for a helmet for my wife. Not too bad for half a day of outdoor fun and to explore more of the city. The hiring process was simple and easy. $50 deposit. We got there shortly after they opened and the bikes we received were dirty and not well maintained. Very un-Singaporean like to not take pride in the product or service they're offering. The gears on my bike were slipping and I could only go up half the gears. Luckily it was all pretty flat terrain. Had heaps of fun and used it for the full 4 hrs with a lunch break @ East Village. Would recommend bike riding in Singapore but there are also 2 bike sharing companies that's cheaper and accessible everywhere around the city. Just make sure to download the App before you leave your country otherwise you need to have mobile data roaming to setup which I didn't.

Staff are friendly and approachable. Helpful with our requests and choices. Went with my son yesterday afternoon for 1 adult + 1 kid bicycles at just $18 an hour in total, price seemed reasonable also special thanks to the bikes mechanic for helping us with a few beautiful pictures! Park your car at the Singapore Flyer carpark and walk a short distance over here, flank around the outside and you’ll see the shop.

Went to this store on Saturday to rent a bicycle for a casual riding around the area. The rental process was smooth BUT the condition of the bicycles are so bad that it could be considered as “junk bike”. Rusty everywhere in the cassette, chain ring and frame. Brakes were losing braking power….Rate was $20 for 3 hours, in absolute term is not bad but with the condition of the bicycle taken into account it was a rip off. New to SG bicycle rental scene and later figured out renting from bike sharing app is cheaper and one would get at least a normal condition bicycle.

5 Jan 2022 Rented a hybrid bike for an hour $10 and got another hour free as it was a weekday. There was no other customers except me. Rental process was smooth and easy. I informed the cashier that I will be returning the bike at East Coast. $50 cash deposit is needed instead of NRIC. They accept paywave for rental but deposit is still cash unless I pay for the fees of approx 1.5%. Decided to use cash for deposit and paywave for rental. The journey took me 1hr 50mins. My rental started at 9.40am. I went up helix bridge and around MBS followed by gardens by the bay. Arrived at Marina barrage at approx 10.05am. The gate was closed. I had to wait till 10.50am for the gate to be opened again. I waited under the shade. There were toilets and water cooler. It was a windy area. Once the gates opened, I cycled onwards to East Coast. Made a quick stop for some photos. Arrived at gocycling East Coast by 11.30am. It was a short walk of 10mins to McDonald’s for my lunch.
